Dematerialize is another old piece of music, i made almost 2 years ago, which got a complete makeover recently.
I started this track at the beginning of the pandemic, when i was struggling with drum and bass and felt like releasing music as NOVALU was going nowhere and not worth it. At this time I was learning a lot about music making and experimented with different genres and styles, but never actually stopped making 172bpm music.  I still have a couple of tunes from this period on my hard drive and no intention to release them, but this one always felt somewhat special and like the perfect last track for this series of single I’ve been releasing the last months. Dematerialize stands for me as a reminder that I don’t have to put a mask on and make music I don’t enjoy to find happiness as an artist and that it’s okay to get lost sometimes.
 I’m really happy with the way it turned out, combining the initial idea for this track with the sounds and style I’m now into.
